Robert Bland

Robert is the kind of guy that doesn’t feel comfortable writing his own bio, so his lovely wife is doing so for him. Robert was born and raised in NC and spent most of his time in the Triangle. He has 25 years experience in the piercing industry and spent 20 of those years at the beloved Glenn’s Tattoo Service in Carrboro. He is well known for his expertise in many arenas (everything from bicycles, watches, mending, wood working, motorcycles, darts, literature, selvedge denim, being an amazing dad of two, and having a healthy debate), his amazing story telling and stage presence (has spent many years gracing the stages of The Monti and LUEWWD), and his progressive ideals <-- this one I’d like to expound upon more. Robert has been written about in blogs for his amazing ability to view the world through a lens of equity and enact this ethos on everyone that graces his chair. He teaches young girls about body autonomy when they are getting their ears pierced and he empowers folx in all walks of life to be better versions of themselves. I might be a bit biased...but I’m certainly not the only one.
